Spending the year-end in Korea, far from my hometown in the US and my family, still feels both exciting and unfamiliar.
Unlike the festive season back home, the quieter streets make me miss my parents even more.

Every Sunday, we share our daily moments through a short video call, and those brief minutes always bring me the warmth of home.
Today, my husband and I decided to spend a special day together.
A Warm Start, Getting Ready Together
As the year ends, we always tidy our home- washing blankets and bedding to welcome a fresh start.
Today, I washed the blanket I brought from my hometown, the one that carries the warmth of winter memories.
After adding a scented sheet and starting the dryer, soft warmth spread through the house as I opened the door.
My husband wrapped the freshly dried blanket around me and said, "I love this smell. Now it really feels like winter." I smiled back. With the gentle memory of home lingering in the air, our year-end morning began softly and warm.
Our Memories Cast on the Wall
As evening fell, the table filled with the dishes we prepared together.Warm steam drifted upward, and candlelight shimmered in our wine glasses.

my favourite classic and the first Christmas film I ever introduced to him.

He playfully repeated the lines, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
Outside, the air was cold, but sharing hot chocolate made this moment feel like our own little theater.
Watching the final scene of the year together, the touch of his hand in mine became our perfect holiday.
The house grew quiet, but the warmth remained. Looking at the city lights, I whispered,
“We did well this year. Let’s make next year just like this.”
That small promise marked the end of our winter.
